a beautiful town with lovely ancient buildings and a wide choice of
shops, pubs and restaurants. It was once an important market centre in
mediaeval times and stands at the crossroads on the main route between
Bristol, Oxford and London. Chipping Sodbury hosts a twice
yearly Mop Fair, usually the last weekends of March and September. The
town also holds a Festival Week in early June. There is a farmers'
market twice a month, on the second Saturday and last Thursday. |
