Dumbleton
is 5 miles from Evesham and 6 miles from the Cotswold town of Broadway.
The village is known to have existed in the time of Ethelred I who
granted land to Abingdon Abbey, and it is mentioned in the Domesday
Book. Historic buildings include St Peter's Church (11th century), the
Old Rectory (16th century) and Dumbleton Hall (1830), now a hotel known
for its supposed hauntings.
