| Lechlade is a small
attractive riverside town on the edge of the Cotswolds, 11 miles east
of Cirencester, 12 miles north of Swindon and 20 miles west of Oxford.
The
town boasts a variety of shops, leisure activities and other amenities,
and welcomes visitors, new residents, and businesses. It combines the
advantages of delightful countryside and convenience for Oxford, Bath,
Cheltenham, Swindon and Cirencester. The centre of the town has a
number of interesting old buildings and shops. The church of St
Lawrence, well worth a visit, dominates the market square and although
the present building was completed in 1476, there is evidence of the
existence of a church in the 13th century.
