BITTON

Self Catering Cotswold Holiday Cottage Accommodation in Bitton

Bitton is a small village 6 miles from Bath. It is the birthplace of the well known children's author Dick King Smith, probably best known for 'The Sheep-Pig' novel which was adapted into the successful film 'Babe'. There has been a Christian church on the site of St Mary's church since 500 ad and there is evidence of an even earlier Romano-British temple. The current church building is believed to date from 1086, with 13th and 15th century additions.
